The Idea

Our idea is to try and raise one million dollars (US) for cancer by recognizing donors with real estate on a flag with 10,000 square inch surface area. For every $100 donated for cancer, the donor will be recognized with one square inch of the flag, plus a 100-pixel square of the image of the flag on www.onemilliondollarflag.org. For the webpage, the donor or sponsor will have the choice of linking his pixels to a website of his choice or creating a personal page designated to their loved ones who’s live are affected by cancer. Donors and Sponsors can manage their personal pages and pixels online.

The Pledge

Our pledge is we will physically show the flag to over two million people by carrying the flag around and show over 20 million people online by attracting online visitors. We will carry the flag around with our best efforts, and participate in events such as the Boston Marathon. Yes, we will run the Boston Marathon with the Flag! There will be over 1 million spectators at Boston Marathon alone! The viewing number is a conservative estimate, but our goal is really to show the flag to as many people as we possibly can!
